Hello! My name is Alessandro d’Angelo (李鋒), but you can call me Mr Alex! I come from Italy, though I’ve also called the UK, Tokyo, and Mainland China home. My family is a blend of cultures, and I’m proud to have lived in so many places. Before becoming an English and Humanities teacher in Hong Kong, I had some exciting adventures: I served in the military and police, studied in the UK and then Tokyo and Beijing, volunteered in Sichuan, and even led a medieval re-enactment society that recreates ancient battles across Europe!
Throughout my life, I’ve witnessed the power of language—it opens doors, builds friendships, and leads to new experiences. That’s why I’m so passionate about teaching English, and why I’m learning Putonghua and Cantonese! I’ve travelled to around 20 provinces across China, and I have a wonderful wife from Hong Kong who shares my love for this vibrant region and the rest of the country. Besides teaching, I’m passionate about travelling, cooking, fitness, and history.
I believe learning is a two-way street, and I’m eager to learn from my students and colleagues just as much as I teach. Let’s make this school year full of discovery, fun, and growth together!

Hello, my name is Susie and I'm one of the part time English Language Teaching Assistants at Christian Alliance Toi Shan H. C. Chan Primary School.
I have lived in Hong Kong for four years after completing my Bachelors degree in Mandarin Chinese and Linguistics in the UK. It has taken a while to get used to the blazing hot summers, but I love the beautiful mountains and beaches here for hiking and camping! In my spare time I enjoy reading, keeping active through different sports, and drawing; I hope I can share my passions with my students this year.

Hello everyone! I’m Mr. Art, your new English Teaching Assistant at Christian Alliance Toi Shan H.C.Chan Primary School. I’ve spent years helping students discover the joy of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In class, we’ll explore stories, build vocabulary, and practice communication through games, discussions, and fun learning. Outside school, music is my heartbeat—I play drums, guitar, and bass at my local church and love weaving rhythms into our lessons. I look forward to getting to know each of you and making our English journey fun and meaningful!
